In 1944 - Byron Price's Office of Censorship had the FBI investigate John W. Campbell's Astounding Science-Fiction magazine because of the story Deadline by Cleve Cartmill, that it had in its March issue. Why? Because it had a detailed description of an atomic bomb, and they were worried that the top secret Manhattan Project (then making an atomic bomb) had "leak".
